This is a really contemporary piece of furniture that is more of a showcase piece for a formal room in your home rather than an everyday sitting piece. You will find that the leather on this piece is softer than it appears on the picture but not by much. It sits high off the floor so if you are smaller/shorter in stature you may want to keep this in mind. As for as the quality and construction it is superior to any other furniture I have owned, well worth the investment.
