This mirror I believe is used as a matching piece for the bedroom dressers but I bought it to stand alone above our fireplace in the bedroom because it is has a really nice antique finish to is. The price is a little on the expensive side as you could probably find something of similar style for less at major department stores that specialize in these types of products, but I just really liked the shape and look of this one so I went ahead and splurged a little. The frame is really outstanding and is easy to hang.
